Performance Calculation Principle of Airbags
The bearing capacity of ship launching rubber air bags was calculated based on the working pressure, contact area. Herein, working pressure was got upon the burst pressure and safety working factor.Because of the flexibility of rubebr air bag the contact area will be affected by some terms which include the carried ship condition, the different position from gravity center during the process of ship launching and pulling. So the bearing capacity of rubber airbags will vary as well as the contact area.
The approximate bearing capacity can be calculated as follows:

Preparation
1. According to the calculation, prepare enough airbags, towing winches, air compressor and other insturments needed.
Before Operation, airbags should be inflated with 1.25 times pressure of working pressure to test its safety and airtightness. If there is any problem, airbags should be fixed before use.
2. Clear all the obstacles and sharp iron nail from launch ramp. Check vessel bottom to ensure no welding scar which may puncture airbags.
3. Fasten towing winch with ship
4.Close all vessel's valves, fix the helm and screw propeller.
5.Insert airbags between support blocks and inflate them to lift vessel. When vessel is lifted, people can take out support blocks under the ship.
